AC is not always available
Mobile clinics, emergency response, research vessels and remote camps often have 12/24 V DC available long before they have clean 230 V AC. A freezer that natively accepts 24 V DC — like the Sino Stirling range — skips the inverter losses and single points of failure that plague AC-only units.
Pairing with solar and batteries
At 120 W (13 L / 25 L) or 280 W (45 L), a modest lithium or AGM bank plus a solar charge controller keeps the unit cold through the night. Because the cold head is oil-free and low-vibration, it is happy on a moving platform.
Common mobile scenarios
- Mobile vaccination vans — keep −86 °C doses cold between stops.
- Response trailers — surge capacity during outbreaks or disasters.
- Research vessels — stable storage far from shore power.
All three models — 13 L, 25 L and 45 L — accept 100–240 V AC and 24 V DC, so the same unit works in the depot and on the road. Tell us your duty cycle and we will size the power system.
